Wednesdays are Weather Boy's share day (books only) at school. On Tuesday nights and sometimes on Wednesday mornings, we pick a book, read it, and discuss his favorite part. Next, I write up the standard speech and give it to him to review.
Today, we picked "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," so Weather Boy's speech is as follows:
"My name is Weather Boy and I have a book to share. It's called "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." My favorite part is when the Grinch cuts the roast beast."
We were told at our Parent Teacher Conference that Weather Boy proudly holds the speech in his hand while presenting and "reads" it. He seems to really enjoy share days. Hopefully, this will help him to never be afraid of public speaking.
Happy Share Day!
